Tie dyed shibori small square scarf. Soft cotton bandanas.
These bandanas are the result of intricate handwork, meticulously hand-tied into hundreds of small squares. They are dyed with the first natural botanical dyes, then untied, re-tied, and dyed again with the second color. The dye from fermented Strobilanthes cusia creates beautiful indigo shades, while the dye from fermented persimmon produces various shades of red and brown.
They are hand made by 7vcraft, can be used as neck scarf, hair scarf, headscarf, headband, hairband, hatband, handkerchief, bag accessory etc.
They are soft and suitable for all seasons.

How is this shibori tie dyed scarf made?
1. Bind, stitch, fold, twist, or compress fabric to create resist patterns.
2. Dip dyeing with natural plant dyes.
3. Rinse the fabric in cool water, untie it, the areas that have been manipulated resist the dye, creating a pattern.
4. Treat with steam to ensure colorfastness.
5. Dry it in the sun.
Just like with all hand-dyed fabric, each fold and knot creates a new pattern, making every piece one-of-a-kind. Therefore, its colors, patterns may not be 100% identical to the model.
